Looking for a challenge? A different major? More student life offerings? Rutgers welcomes transfer students like you. We'll ease your transition to Rutgers through orientation, academic advising, registration assistance, and ongoing support.

Transfer Credit

Credit evaluations are completed after admitted students have confirmed their intention to enroll. In general, credit is granted for academic courses taken at accredited institutions if they are the equivalent of Rutgers courses and a grade of at least a C has been earned.

90 credits is the maximum credits accepted from four-year institutions. Your credit evaluation will determine time to degree completion. Use NJTransfer as your guide.

Looking back, there was surely no other choice I would have made because Rutgers is everything I could have asked for.

You get a lot of diversity. And not just culturally, but how people interact with each other. That’s something that you probably won’t find at a lot of schools.
